Nepal Tug of War Association (NTWA)
Nepal Tug of War Association is Affiliated to Tug of War International Federation (TWIF). The mission of TWIF is to provide the structure and good governance necessary for the well-being and development of the sport of Tug of War throughout the world. NTWA is registered in National Sports Council of Nepal and has sole responsibility for development of Tug of War game throughout Nepal.
With its provincial committees, district committees, municipality committees, and clubs, it stands as one of the most widely dispersed sports associations in Nepal.

Nepal Police wins both Men 640KG and Women 580KG events of 3rd National Tug of War Competition held at Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. All seven provinces' teams and Nepal Government's all three departmental teams participated in the Men event where as five provinces' teams and three departmental teams participated in Women event. Biratnagar, 25 February 2025 – Jhapa District has emerged victorious in the Koshi Province Tug of War Competition held in Biratnagar. The event was a part of the Koshi Province Sports Festival, which commenced on 25 February 2025 under the organization of the Koshi Province Sports Development Board.
A total of 11 districts out of 14 from Koshi Province participated in the competition, showcasing strength, teamwork, and determination. The final match saw Jhapa District face off against Solukhumbu District in a thrilling contest. Jhapa dominated the game, securing a 2-0 victory to claim the championship title.
काठमाडौं २०८१-११-१२ । राष्ट्रिय डोरी तान प्रतियोगिता हुने भएको छ । प्रतियोगिताको तेस्रो संस्करण आगामी फागुन १६ र १७ गते हुने भएको हो । आयोजक नेपाल डोरी तान संघले सोमबार प्रतियोगिताबारे जानकारी गराएको हो । प्रतियोगिता भक्तपुरको सानोठिमीस्थित एसओएस हर्मन माइनर स्कुलको खेल मैदानमा हुनेछ ।
प्रतियोगितामा पुरुषतर्फ सात प्रदेश र तीन विभागीय टोलीको सहभागिता रहनेछ । महिलातर्फ भने सुदूरपश्चिम र कर्णाली प्रदेशबाहेकका टोलीले प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्नेछन् । प्रतियोगितामा पुरुषतर्फ ६४० केजी र महिलातर्फ ५८० केजी तौल समूहमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गराइनेछ । महिलातर्फको स्पर्धा पहिलोपटक समावेश गरिएको हो ।

दोस्रो राष्ट्रिय डोरी तान प्रतियोगिता २०८० को बिजेताको उपाधी कोशी प्रदेशले जितेको छ । नेपाल डोरी तान संघको आयोजनामा मिति २०८० फाल्गुन १८ र १९ गते विराटनगरमा सञ्चालन गरेको दोस्रो राष्ट्रिय डोरीतान प्रतियोगिताको फाइनल खेलमा कोशी प्रदेशले विभागीय टोली सशस्त्र प्रहरीको टिमलाई २–० सेटको अन्तरमा पराजित गरेको छ । कोशी प्रदेश, बाग्मती प्रदेश, मधेस प्रदेश, लुम्बिनी प्रदेश र कर्णाली प्रदेश गरी पाँच प्रदेश र तीन विभागीय टोली नेपाली सेना, नेपाल प्रहरी र सशस्त्र प्रहरी बल गरी जम्मा आठ टिमको सहभागिता रहेको प्रतियोगिताको संयोजन तथा व्यवस्थापन कोशी प्रदेश डोरी तान संघले गरेको जानकारी नेपाल डोरी तान संघका टेक्निकल विभागका सदस्य तथा प्रतियोगिताका टेक्निकल संयोजक युवराज चौधरीले बताउनु भयो ।
